General information

CardiACT is fully insured and works alongside cardiac consultants across the country. We prioritise patients safety and adhere to the highest medical standards ensuring peace of mind for both our patients and staff.

Patients can wear comfortable clothing. It is preferable to a top / t-shirt so that electrodes can be easily placed on chest during ECG examination.

There is amble onsite FREE Parking at Skerries Point, Medical Centre.

Our advanced cardiac physical screening takes approximately 40-45 minutes and is designed to assess your risk factors of having a cardiac event.

We will carry out a number of tests which includes a 12 lead ECG with immediate expert interpretation, point of care bloods to check for cholesterol and diabetes, BMI, blood levels, blood pressure.

Lifestyle Management and Education as well as a personalised patient summary report will be provided to our patients.

CardiACT has developed relationships with cardiology consultants throughout the country. We have expedited referral pathways established with Cardiology consultants based in the Hermitage Clinic, Blackrock (Dublin, Cork and Limerick) and The Mater Private in Dublin.

Our screening services are suitable for both men and women over 18 years old from those who are taking a proactive approach to their health to individuals with specific concerns. Your screening at CardiACT will provide you with valuable insights regardless of your age or health status.

There is no requirement to fast however it is advised to refrain from taking tea/ coffee or cigarettes at least two hours before your screening.

We don’t currently provide echocardiograms however we will refer you to a cardiologist if we feel that this examination is needed for you.

We work alongside all major insurers and you can claim up to 50% back off the cost of your screening. Please check with your own insurance provider to verify your cover.
